We have all picked the marshmallows out of Lucky Charms cereal, looking for a sweet and sugary treat in the morning. Well, now there’s no need to pick out the marshmallows — just go buy a bag of them.
The Lucky Charms brand announced on its Instagram that for a limited amount of time it will be selling “Just Magical Marshmallows.”
Just Magical Marshmallows are planned to hit U.S. supermarket shelves in the coming week and will be sold in 6 ounce bags for $3.99. However, the length of time they will be available is unknown, according to People Magazine.
Lucky Charms’ marshmallows have never been available nationwide before for customers.
“They’ve had the opportunity to win Lucky Charms Marshmallow–Only boxes in the past, but now have the ability to purchase the Just Magical Marshmallows. We hope it brings a little bit of magic and joy to their day,” said Jessica TeBrake, an assistant manager of brand experience, per USA Today.
Scott Baldwin, who is the director of marketing at General Mills (the parent company of Lucky Charms), said in a statement to Yahoo! Life: “It’s no secret that Lucky Charms fans love the marshmallows. Consumers have flooded our inboxes and swept our social feeds begging for Lucky Charms Marshmallow Only to return. You asked, and we listened.”
According to USA Today, General Mills and other cereal companies have seen an increase in cereal sales since the beginning of the pandemic as more people are staying home.
