On Monday, some of these images leaked early. They showed the Child (Baby Yoda) looking as green as he ever did.
- Another photo shows the Mandalorian at sea, working on some sort of boat. A separate image shows the boat alone in the middle of water. Sea travel is something rarely seen in “Star Wars”
- A final photo shows Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) walking with Cara Dune (Gina Carano) in what appears to be a desert city.
Another round of snapped photos show the Mandalorian soaring through space with X-Wing fighters on his side, a sign that our main character will have a run-in with the New Republic, too.
And there’s a photo that shows stormtroopers on speedbikes. Looks like the Empire isn’t too far away, either.

Rumors have existed for weeks about the launch of “The Mandalorian” season 2. The show is expected to debut in October, and yet fans still haven’t seen a trailer for the show (not that it really needs one, to be honest).
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said in a recent interview with “The Wrap” that “The Mandalorian” was lucky to have a second season since the show didn’t have to shut down production due to the pandemic.
“Even though we wondered to what extent people could work remotely, our IT department and ILM had everybody up and running within a week, working from home and continuing to work in the cutting room and on visual effects shots. It was pretty staggering how quickly they got everybody up and running.”
