Celebrities are using National Voter Registration Day to encourage people to register to vote for the upcoming presidential election on Nov. 3.
Over the past few weeks, many celebrities have teamed up with organizations such as HeadCount, Rock the Vote and others encouraging people to register to vote. Celebrities are encouraging voters to learn about important information tied to the election, too.
A variety of artists have also released limited-edition music or are hosting events in hopes of driving voter registration up, according to Billboard.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama shared on Twitter that she will be hosting a live-stream on Instagram throughout National Voter Registration Day, featuring guest stars such as DJ Khaled, Brittany Moore, Tracee Ellis Ross and others.
Jennifer Aniston referenced back to her and Jimmy Kimmel’s fire mishap at the 2020 Emmys, as her Instagram post read, “Tomorrow is National Voter Registration Day... Let’s put out the dumpster fire that is 2020.” Adding “Do it for RGB!”
Ryan Reynolds shared how people can register to vote and how quick the sign up process is, “It’s National Voter Registration Day! To register, go to http://vote.org - takes only two min. #NationalVoterRegistrationDay”
Kesha also shared how her fans could register to vote, writing, “ANIMALS!! It’s #NationalVoterRegistrationDay!! text VOTER to 40649 or go to http://bit.ly/keshartv to register to vote or to verify ur status.”
Rosanne Cash reminded voters in a tweet that every vote counts.
