The Salt Lake housewives are coming.
Andy Cohen, host of the Bravo network’s “Real Housewives” series, tweeted a teaser of the forthcoming “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” on Wednesday. And we do mean “teaser”: His tweet simply said, “Ok I’m gonna say it: #RHOSLC IS BLOWAWAY! It’s a real curveball to the Housewives franchise... #comingsoon”
Still no word on just how soon it’ll be here. The series was originally scheduled to premiere sometime in 2020. Cohen first announced the Salt Lake spinoff last November.
“We’ve always tried to choose a city that has completely unique personalities and we also try to throw a little curveball now and then. Pick somewhere you weren’t expecting,” Cohen said in November, according to People magazine.
The new series is a long time coming. In a 2017 visit to the Eccles Theater in downtown Salt Lake City, Cohen told the audience that Bravo had previously pursued a “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” series, but the project was scrapped.
For now, we continue to wait.
