A new piece of concept art from “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” reveals the original shocking and more chilling ending to the film.
- The concept art, which you can see below, shows Padme and Anakin (by then Darth Vader) on Mustafar. Padme, dressed in a red cloak, holds a sharp dagger in her left hand.
- Per the Star Wars Fact Twitter account, the original ending of the film featured a scene where Padme tried to kill Anakin by slicing his throat.
- Chilling.

More ‘Revenge of the Sith’ art
This isn’t the first time that “Revenge of the Sith” concept art has gone viral, showing a portrait of a different film than what we got. For example, concept art appeared in Paul Duncan’s “Star Wars Archives Episode 1-3 The Prequels” book showed Skywalker in a sleeveless Jedi tunic. He had tattoos, too.
- The original script for the film almost revealed Anakin Skywalker’s true father, too. In the original script, Darth Sidious would have revealed himself to be Anakin Skywalker’s father, as I wrote about for the Deseret News.
