Princess Giselle’s story is not over yet.

The 2007 Disney hit film “Enchanted” is getting the sequel treatment, and the movie’s two biggest stars are coming back to reprise their roles.

In addition to Amy Adams’ previously announced return as Princess Giselle, Patrick Dempsey revealed in an interview with Good Morning America that he will be coming back to play Giselle’s love interest, Robert Philip.

During the interview, Dempsey shared that the movie is well into its pre-production phase and filming could start in just a few short months.

”I just got this script for the second movie and then I’m starting to go through and get notes together,” the actor said. “There’s talk that we’ll start shooting that in the spring, which is exciting.”

Disney announced plans for the Adams-led sequel during the company’s three-hour Investor Day presentation in December, Entertainment Weekly reports. The followup movie will be titled “Disenchanted.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, director Adam Shankman, who has been attached to the project since 2018, previously disclosed that the followup film will explore Giselle’s life 10 years after the events of the first movie unfolded. “Disenchanted” will reportedly follow the princess as she considers, “What is happily ever after?”

In the 2007 original, Princess Giselle (played by Adams) is sent away from her magical cartoon homeland of Andalasia to present-day New York City where she eventually meets and falls in love with a single father named Robert Phillip (played by Dempsey).

People reports that the “Enchanted” sequel is one of many upcoming feature films slated to make its debut on Disney+.

Other movies include

  • “Pinocchio,” live action
  • “Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers,” a hybrid live-action-animated picture starring John Mulaney and Andy Samberg
  • “Peter Pan and Wendy”
  • “Sister Act 3”
