Florida has acquired the Crossroads Shopping Center in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, and plan to build a new road to Walt Disney World, according to The Orlando Sentinel.

Florida spent $198 million to buy the shopping center near Walt Disney World.

Per The Orlando Sentinel, Florida agreed to pay massive settlement deals to the 25 tenants of the shopping center. Those deals include $15.7 million to Gooding’s Supermarkets, for example.

  • The tenants have until August to vacate the location.

According to WDW News Today, the project to build the new road began in December 2016. In April 2018, the shipping center was expected to close within 18 months. The deal has now reportedly wrapped up, offering Florida a chance to build another road to the massive Disney theme park.
