Katherine Heigl recently spoke with The Washington Post on a number of topics, including her thoughts on her career, racial injustice and Hollywood.

  • The interview took place at Heigl’s home ranch in Utah.
  • Heigl mostly talked about how she’s reshaping her career. She talked to The Washington Post about what made her angry working in Hollywood, and how she’s looking to change things as she finds new roles.

What Heigl said about Utah

Heigel told The Washington Post her experience living in Utah made it hard to understand the summer protests.

  • “There is not a ton of diversity in Utah, and that was not something we even thought of because we were living in our white bubble and just kind of thinking ‘love is love,’ ” Heigl said. “It was a very big eye opener.”
