Cloris Leachman — the famous actress who died at 94 years old on Wednesday — had a small role in one of Robert Redford’s biggest films.

What’s going on?

Leachman — who won an Academy Award for her role on “The Last Picture Show” and starred on such television shows as “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Malcolm in the Middle” — died Wednesday, according to The New York Times.

  • Leachman won the Oscar for “Last Picture Show” in 1971. But in 1969, she had another role that Utah film fans will remember.

What’s the cameo?

One look at Leachman’s IMDb page confirms she appeared as Agnes in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” which starred Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

  • The film told the story of outlaws Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, who go on the run after a train robbery goes wrong.

One Twitter user snapped a photo of the moment where you can see Leachman in the film.

  • “A year before winning an Oscar Cloris Leachman was in Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. Don’t blink as she has about of minute of screen time playing a lady of ilrepute named Agnes.”

The numbers aren’t exactly right. “The Last Picture Show” came out in 1971 and “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” dropped in 1969. But it still fits the point that she had a cameo role before she won an Oscar, showing the length of her career.
