“When Calls the Heart” fans got their first look at the upcoming season of the show, which included the introduction of new characters joining the show.
What’s going on?
Entertainment Tonight shared an exclusive video from “When Calls the Heart” Season 8, which shows a little more details about what’s to come.
- The clip shows Joseph Canfield (Viv Leacock) stuck on the side of the road. Jesse (Aren Buchholz) comes to Joseph’s aide and the two have a short chat about the town.
- Later, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) trots by on a horse, chasing someone who has lost control of their horse.
So what’s new?
The Canfield family will be the new characters for the upcoming season. It’ll include the aforementioned Joseph, as well as Minnie (Natasha Burnett), and their two children, Angela (Vienna Leacock) and Cooper (Elias Leacock), accoridng to Entertainment Tonight.
Bigger questions for the season
The biggest question heading into the next season surrounds Elizabeth, Nathan (Kevin McGarry) and Lucas (Chris McNally), who are stuck in a love triangle. “WCTH” creator Brian Bird recently hinted the show will make a final decision about the show and there will be romance in the air for the characters this season.
