A new report from PageSix — an entertainment tabloid — suggests that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are getting divorced.
- The report cites “multiple sources” who say that “divorce is imminent.”
- “They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” one of the sources said. “Kim has hired Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”
According to the report, Kim hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring in recent weeks. Similarly, Kanye West spent the holidays at his ranch in Wyoming away from the Kardashian family.
- “Kim got Kanye to go up there (Wyoming) so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done,” the source continued.
The sources suggest Kardashian has spent months helping West with his mental health struggles. But the recent presidential bid has pushed her over the edge where she doesn’t want to be married to him anymore.
Should you believe this report?
It’s unclear if this report should be believed. PageSix has a rather solid reputation as far as tabloids go, but the unnamed sources bit raises some red flags, of course. Other news outlets have jumped on the reporting, too, but it’s unclear if this is actually going to happen.
But it’s not like Kim and Kanye haven’t experienced issues in the past. In fact, in July 2020, Kanye West accused Kim of trying to lock him up on medical grounds, as I wrote about for the Deseret News.
Kanye tweeted about his wife trying to lock him up because of his other Twitter rants at the time.
- “Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie ‘Get Out’ because I cried about saving my daughter’s life yesterday.”
- “If I get locked up like Mandela Ya’ll will know why.”
West said at the time that he showed a text message to Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, and asked her to contact him at his Wyoming Ranch.
