“Star Wars” actress Rosario Dawson recently shared a new video that shows off how she became Ahsoka Tano for her appearance on “The Mandalorian.”

Dawson tweeted the video in support of “Ahsoka Tano Day,” which was celebrated on Friday in honor of the “Star Wars” character.

  • “Happy #AhsokaTanoDay ! Thank you @Ashley_Eckstein for bringing Ashoka to life for us all. It’s one of the greatest honors & privileges of my life to share this remarkable character w/ the world alongside you,” Dawson wrote on Twitter.

What’s next for Ahsoka?

Ahsoka Tano — who first appeared in “The Clone Wars” animated show and later “Star Wars Rebels” — made her live-action debut on Season 2 of “The Mandalorian.” She told The Mandalorian about Grogu (Baby Yoda) and his past with the Jedi. She also advised Mando to find a Jedi Knight for Grogu so he could learn more about the Force.

  • As I wrote for the Deseret News, Ahsoka will receive her own live-action show in the near future — called “Ahsoka” — of Disney+ with Dawson in the lead role. The show will likely feature crossover moments with “The Mandalorian,” too.
