“WandaVision” will embrace a new style and format for its seventh episode, and it’ll surely look familiar to fans of “Modern Family” or “The Office.”

What’s going on?

Disney+ released a new clip from the seventh episode of “WandaVision,” which will debut Friday morning.

  • The clip shows Wanda speaking to the camera, saying she’s going to take a day to herself. Her sons, Billy and Timmy, explain that they’re seeing some weird things, too.
  • There’s not a lot of substance to the clip. But it does show the new format for the “WandaVision” episode — one that is similar to “The Office” or “Modern Family” where the story is told like a documentary. The format has been widely referred to as a “mockumentary.”

Another ‘Office’ connection?

A new Marvel theory suggests that Reed Richards — the leader of the Fantastic Four superhero group — may appear in an upcoming episode of “WandaVision,” and he could be played by former “The Office” star John Krasinski.

  • S.W.O.R.D. Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) has hinted in the last few “WandaVision” episodes that she has an aerospace engineer friend who was going to help her with understanding the alternate reality that Wanda has created in the show.

Fans think the friend will be Richards, who becomes Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four, as I wrote for the Deseret News.

  • Richards is considered a “genius-level intellect and his mastery of science and other fields, including aviation, robotics and quantum physics,” according to ComicBook.com.
  • There have been rumors that Krasinski would play Richards if he were to appear in Marvel, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
