Disney+ has shared the full official cast listing and a production update for the upcoming “Star Wars” special event series “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ cast has been revealed

Disney+ shared the first official cast listing for its upcoming “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series. Here’s the full breakdown:

  • Ewan McGregor
  • Hayden Christensen
  • Moses Ingram
  • Joel Edgerton
  • Bonnie Piesse
  • Indira Varma
  • Kumail Nanjiani
  • Rupert Friend
  • Sung Kang
  • O’Shea Jackson Jr.
  • Simone Kessell
  • Benny Safdie

We know McGregor will appear as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Christensen will return as Darth Vader. Edgerton will likely play Uncle Owen since that’s who he played in the “Star Wars” prequels, per ScreenRant.

Otherwise, we don’t know much about the casting. Deadline reported last week that Varma would join the cast but it remained unclear what her role would be.

When does ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ start filming?

Disney+ said in an email to the Deseret News that the series will begin filming in April.

Reports suggested “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series would begin filming in January. There were rumors the show would begin filming in Boston, CBS Boston reports. But that was later revealed to be Boston, England.
