The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park will be different when people see it again, as Disney made several upgrades to the ride.

Haunted Mansion changes

The Haunted Mansion has received several upgrades during Disneyland’s coronavirus shutdown. For one, the outdoor landscaping has changed to “adorn the site for dearly departed pets, representing their stories from beyond the grave,” according to the Disney Parks blog.

  • Meanwhile, the inside has changed, too. People “will notice a few dastardly design embellishments along the portrait hallway, including the return of an old, perhaps familiar face,” according to Disney Parks.

In fact, one of the original portraits from the ride — called “April to December” — is back in the hallways.

  • “As you step closer to your doom buggy, you’ll see the lovely young woman aging before your eyes,” Disney Parks explained.

When does Disneyland reopen?
