Tickets for Disneyland's reopening went on sale Thursday — and plenty of people experienced delays.
Deadline reports that Disney Park’s website had to react already because of the high demand for tickets. Tickets went on sale at 8 a.m. Thursday.
- “The wait is almost over,” DisneyParks.com read after tickets went on sale. “Thank you for your continued patience! Due to high demand, this is taking longer than expected. We have a lot of guests accessing our system, so you are now in a waiting room to plan your park visit.”
According to Deadline, the website updated to say that the line was going to last “more than an hour.”
- A Disneyland spokesperson told Deadline the website limited the number of people who could access it so that there wouldn’t be any delays.
Disneyland released a statement about the delay, according to The Orange County Register.
- “We are experiencing high demand given the historic nature of the Disneyland Resort’s reopening,” Disneyland website, per Forbes. “To deliver a strong guest experience, we are deliberately pulsing guests through the system and, therefore, wait times may be several hours or more depending on when you joined the queue. We still have plenty of reservation availability, and we plan to keep the system open throughout the night to accommodate the demand. Please don’t refresh and we will get you through the queue as soon as we can.”
According to Fox News, wait times lasted nine hours.

Disneyland has revealed the ticket prices for reopening, as I wrote for the Deseret News. The prices did not change compared to last year, which is a good sign for fans who wanted to enter the theme park.

- Tier 5 — $154
- Tier 4 — $139
- Tier 3 — $124
- Tier 2 — $114
- Tier 1 — $104
Only California residents can attend the Disneyland theme park during its reopening.
