Disney+ shared a new featurette about “Black Widow” to celebrate National Superhero Day.
The video, which was released Wednesday, includes Scarlett Johansson speaking about the upcoming Marvel film “Black Widow.” She explains that Black Widow has been a key superheroine since the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but few people know her entire story.
- “It’s time for her story,” Johansson said in the video.
“Black Widow” will be released in movie theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access in most Disney+ markets on July 9. The Premier Access will require an extra fee. It’s unclear how much.
The new Marvel film will tell the story of Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), who visits her home to deal with a dark conspiracy.
- She will be joined by Florence Pugh as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina.
Marvel confirmed in a press release to the Disney News that “Black Widow” is the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
