Marvel Studios released the first trailer for the upcoming “Loki” Disney+ miniseries, and it looks to be something like Marvel’s version of Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet.”

Is there a new ‘Loki’ trailer?

Disney+ released the new “Loki” official trailer on Monday morning. It shows the 2012 version of Loki arrive at an unknown location after stealing the tesseract in “Avengers: Endgame.”

  • Now captured, Loki is asked to help an organization — called the Time Variance Authority — put the timeline of the universe back and order. Of course, Loki is a trickster who is up to no good, so it’s unclear if the TVA trust Loki to get the job done.

The trailer hints at a time travel story where a protagonist — in this case, Loki — has to set things right and move through time. In a lot of ways, it feels like a version of “Tenet,” the Christopher Nolan film released in 2020 where a character literally named Protagonist had to travel through time (sort of) to make things right with the world.

Details about ‘Loki’ series

The series will feature “the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame.’”

  • The show will star Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino and Wunmi Mosaku.

When does ‘Loki’ drop on Disney+

The “Loki” miniseries will start its run on June 11, 2021. It’s unclear how many episodes there will be.
