Lunar New Year, or the Chinese New Year, begins on Wednesday this year.
The 15-day celebration full of festivals and parties is the most important holiday in China and Chinese communities, as previously reported by the Deseret News.
Disney has already started its festivities and has plenty of merch to highlight the holiday. Disney creators have shared the new items on Instagram and TikTok.
Here is all you need to know about the Disney merch for the Year of the Snake.
But first: The shirts
Disney has three different shirts that are being sold for Lunar New Year in the parks.
Spirit jersey
The spirit jersey is a red long-sleeve shirt. On the front of the shirt, it has a gold snake that is in the shape of the Mickey icon. A large graphic of Mickey in traditional-inspired clothing and holding a string instrument can also be found surrounded by bamboo.
On the back of the shirt, in large gold lettering, are the words “Lunar New Year 2025″ and various Chinese hanging lanterns.
Magic Key Exclusive Tee
This red and gold short-sleeve shirt sports a golden firework pattern that can be found on a lot of other Lunar New Year items. On the front, you can find Chip sitting next to a red bag and holding a scroll while Dale sits on a red fish. Both of them are dressed in outfits fit for the Lunar New Year.
On the back of the shirt is a large, gold snake in the shape of the Mickey icon. Hanging from the bottom of the icon are a few lanterns as well.
Mickey and Minnie Tee
Lastly is a red short-sleeve shirt that has a small print of the golden snake shaped like the Mickey icon above the Disney California Adventure logo with lanterns hanging from the letters.
On the back, in gold lettering, is “Lunar New Year 2025″ with the same Mickey graphic from the spirit jersey, as well as Minnie, who is also in traditional-inspired clothing and holding a string instrument.
Ears and pins
It’s not Disney without ears and pins.
Here are the Disney ears and pins being offered for the Year of the Snake.
Ear headband
These ears are fashioned with a big red bow in the front with the golden snake Mickey icon in the center. The front of the ears have a hanging lanterns pattern covering them.
The back of the ears have the red and gold firework pattern, along with “Lunar New Year 2025″ stitched across the two ears.
Pins
The first pin Disney has available is a large pin with Mickey and Minnie in the same traditional-inspired outfits, holding string instruments.
Another pin also features the favorite pair where they are wearing matching red and yellow outfits. Minnie has a yellow flower in her ear and they are both placed on a red circular background with “2025″ in yellow.
On another pin, Mickey stands alone on a cloud in the same red and yellow outfit as the pin before. Next to him is a red pillar dated with “2025″ down it.
Chip and Dale also have a pin. They have the same design as the Magic Key Exclusive Tee. This pin is also a Magic Key pin that is celebrating 25 years of pin trading, according to Disneyland News Today.
Lastly, is a Character Folding Fan Pin Mystery Set. Each box holds two pins out of a 10 character set. This Lunar New Year set has Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, Donald, Winnie the Pooh, Goofy, Chip, Dale and Pluto all holding different patterned folding fans in front of their face.
Odds and ends

Mickey Plush
Find Mickey sporting a red and blue outfit complete with a short red jacket with a blue border. He also is seen wearing red pants that have gold snakes printed on the knees. The outfit is topped with a red hat that has a fur edge and a blue border with a snake design in the middle.
Red envelopes (pack of six)
Looking for red envelopes to fill with money and give to loved ones? You can find all the characters in traditional-inspired clothing on each of the red envelopes and “Happy Year of the Snake” in gold lettering at the top.
Teacup
The red and gold firework background is perfect for this teacup. On the front is the gold snake Mickey icon with lanterns hanging from the bottom of it. On the back, “Lunar New Year 2025″ is printed in red and gold.
Disney Parks lug bag
This red and gold bag would be perfect for holding all your red envelopes! The gold snake makes the Mickey icon on the front along with “Lunar New year 2025″ and hanging lanterns.
On the back is the gold firework pattern along with gold belt loops and the California Adventure logo. The bag is completed with a gold zipper.
