Amid outcry over the news that the Puerto Rican performer Bad Bunny will headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, Turning Point USA has announced that it will offer alternative entertainment during that time.

Who will be featured remains to be seen, but it’s a safe bet that the show will be in English.

The organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk posted on X that it would put on “the All American Halftime Show,” saying details would be coming soon.

Turning Point has set up a website where people can sign up to receive updates. On the site, people can choose the genres of music they would like to be featured, from selections that include Americana, classic rock, country, hip hop, pop and worship music. The first choice is “Anything in English.”

The line is a nod to the controversy over Bad Bunny, who performs in Spanish. The singer said, when he hosted “Saturday Night Live” recently, that people who don’t understand Spanish have four months to learn before the show.

The Super Bowl will take place on Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Perspective: The Super Bowl halftime show will be even worse than we think

It’s not just a halftime show performed in Spanish that has some American conservatives upset, however, but also the performer’s comments about the Trump administration’s efforts to deport people who entered the country illegally.

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has said he didn’t tour the U.S. this year because he feared ICE agents would come to his concerts and detain fans.

After the Super Bowl announcement, however, he wrote on X in Spanish, “I’ve been thinking about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I’ll do just one date in the United States.”

How Charlie Kirk became 'too big to ignore'

Over the past week, Turning Point personalities have teased the idea of doing an alternative halftime show and floated the idea of the rock band Creed performing.

But it wouldn’t be surprising if the Turning Point show also features some of the performers at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service. Those performers included Brandon Lake, Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham, Cody Carnes and Kari Jobe Carnes.
