Much to fans’ delight, Taylor Swift announced she will be bringing a docuseries about The Eras Tour to streaming starting Dec. 12 on Disney+.
Swift made the big announcement on “Good Morning America” early Monday morning. The announcement comes on the heels of her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” setting multiple records, making it one of the biggest releases in music history.
“It was the End of an Era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety,” Swift wrote on a post on Instagram.
“The Eras Tour | The Final Show, featuring the entire Tortured Poets Department set, and the first two episodes of The End of an Era, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries will be yours December 12th on @disneyplus,” she continued.

Here’s what we know about the docuseries:
- It will start with the first two episodes premiering on Disney+ on Dec. 12, then two episodes airing weekly for the next two weeks until Dec. 26.
- Also on Dec. 12, “Taylor Swift; The Eras Tour: The Final Show” will premiere on Disney+, featuring the entire final show, which was filmed in Vancouver, Canada, including never-before-seen footage of “The Tortured Poets Department” set.
- Performers Ed Sheeran, Gracie Abrams and Sabrina Carpenter were featured in the trailer, leading to speculation that they will also have time in the documentary.
- The trailer also featured images of Swift’s fiancee, Travis Kelce, leading fans to believe their love story, which began from The Eras Tour, will be a featured component.
“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” premiered exactly two years ago and became the highest-grossing concert film of all time, according to Guinness World Records.
