Taylor Swift could make history once again after being nominated for the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Swift was awarded the organization’s Hal David Starlight Award in 2010, which is an honor given to young songwriters. If Swift gets inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, she would become the first person to earn both the award and full membership in the elite club.

Who else was nominated?

Swift joins the likes of Kenny Loggins, Pink, Sarah McLachlan and LL Cool J, who were also nominated for the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame class, per Variety.

The list includes 13 strong candidates in the performing songwriter category. Only three will be selected for the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

According to Billboard, “A songwriter with a notable catalog of songs qualifies for induction 20 years after the first commercial release of a song.”

Swift’s first single, “Tim McGraw,” debuted in 2006, making her eligible for the honor.

The gala where the inductees are announced is typically held in June.
