It’s been a little over a year since Jasmine Roth, the HGTV star who rescues homeowners from their DIY disasters, moved her family, work and TV show from Southern California to Park City, Utah.

Now, as the latest season of her renovation show “Help! I Wrecked My House” airs Wednesdays on HGTV (with episodes available for streaming the following day on HBO Max), Roth is opening up about life in Utah — including her favorite places to eat in Park City.

Jasmine Roth’s go-to places to eat in Park City, Utah

In a recent interview with the Deseret News, Roth shared some of her favorite places to eat in Park City:

  • Roth said Yuki Yama Sushi on Main Street is her favorite restaurant.
  • High West Saloon is a popular spot for her family — she and her husband got married there in 2013. She also likes the Nelson Cottage by High West.
  • Five5eeds is a favorite breakfast spot, Roth said. “But I probably shouldn’t even tell you that, because it’s already too busy. I don’t want anybody else to go there.”
  • The Corner Store at the base of Park City Mountain. The owner is actually a part of the newest season of “Help! I Wrecked My House,” Roth said.

Jasmine Roth calls Park City her family’s ‘happy place’

Although she’s only been in Park City full time for about a year, Roth’s love for the area runs deep.

It’s where she got married in 2013, previously bought a vacation home and frequently visited due to a love of snowboarding.

“We call it our happy place,” she recently told the Deseret News on a Zoom call. “And slowly but surely, we just started spending more and more time here, to the point where we were like, ‘Should we just move?’”

At the time of the big move — which involved uprooting her family, company and renovation show — she was also designing their new home in Utah. And she was pregnant with her second child.

“Still kind of just unreal how big of a move this was for us,” Roth said. “Would it have been easier to move with a 6-month-old or a 1-year-old? I don’t know. I honestly don’t know. But … once I make a decision, I’m off to the races. There’s no pausing me. It’s been a lot, but we love it here.”

In Utah, she’s been building a new team of contractors and searching for clients while familiarizing herself with the various conditions Utah homeowners face.

Now, as she highlights the families and homes she’s worked with throughout the new season of “Help! I Wrecked My House,” Roth said the state’s landscape is also on display.

“We’re really trying to showcase Utah, show off the beauty here … and just why we moved here,” she said. “And I think that’ll be really clear by the time the season is over.”
