Witches and vampires are old news — this Halloween belongs to K-pop idols and demon slayers. From coast to coast, “KPop Demon Hunters” has taken over not just on the screen but the streets as trick-or-treaters channel the film’s neon-haired heroines for their costume inspiration.

According to Google’s annual Frightgeist report, Utah is in on the trend. Four of the state’s five most-searched costumes come straight from “KPop Demon Hunters” — Rumi, Zoey, Mira and Baby Saja — with Labubu also sneaking into the mix.

Utah isn’t alone. Nationally, the same neon-haired heroines are topping costume charts for costumes of all ages. Rumi, Zoey, Mira, Jinu and Baby Saja make up the top five most-searched costumes in the U.S., proving the animated powerhouse has dethroned witches, superheroes and skeletons as America’s Halloween inspiration.

For the youngest trick-or-treaters, the “KPop” fever remains. They mirror the trend, with Rumi leading the way, followed by Labubu, Zoey, Mira and Jinu.

Even pets aren’t escaping the “KPop” craze. Derpy the Tiger from the movie is coming in second place, while classics like Krypto from “Superman,” a chicken, Ihop and, yes, Labubu once again, round out the top dog getups.

For costume duos, some traditions never die. The plug-and-outlet pairing remains a favorite, though Astrid and Hiccup from “How to Train Your Dragon” fly high at the top of this year’s duo list.
