Kendrick Lamar is getting comfortable in his throne. The hip-hop artist leads the 2026 Grammy Award nominations with nine nods — after earning both record of the year and song of the year at the most recent ceremony.
Lamar, who won big last year with his monster hit “Not Like Us,” heads into the 2026 award show with momentum from his fifth consecutive studio album, “GNX,” and a new total of 66 career nominations.
On Lamar’s heels is Lady Gaga, with seven nominations, and rising pop singer Sabrina Carpenter, with six nominations across all major categories — tying her up with a handful of artists, including upcoming “Super Bowl” halftime show performer Bad Bunny.
In a unique twist, Netflix hit “KPop Demon Hunters” snagged three Grammy nominations for its record-breaking track “Golden.” Up against Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Carpenter and Lamar, “Golden” earned a nomination for the song of the year, among others.

“I’m not able to digest this time. I’m still in shock,” Ejae, who performs the song with Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, told Variety about the nomination.
All nominations for the 68th annual Grammys is music released between Aug. 31, 2024, to Aug. 30, 2025. Thousands of members of the Recording Academy vote to select the Grammy nominees.
“The Grammy Awards are our opportunity to honor the people who make this community so vibrant, and this year’s nominees remind us of the incredible talent that is driving music forward,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said in a statement.
“From emerging talent to influential icons, these nominees reflect today’s broad and diverse musical landscape, and I am excited to celebrate them in the coming weeks ahead and on music’s biggest night.”
