Two years after the series debuted, Season 2 of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” premiered on Disney+ last week, with the first two episodes now available to stream.
Written by Rick Riordan, the first book in the “Percy Jackson & the Olympians” series was released 20 years ago — and since then, it’s become become one of the bestselling series of all time. Previously, the books were adapted into two movies, which were released in 2010 and 2013.
The first season of the Disney+ series was released in December 2023 and January 2024, and followed the storyline of the first book.
The new second season will follow the plot of the series’ second book, “Sea of Monsters.”
‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ episode release schedule
Season 2’s first two episodes premiered last Wednesday Dec. 10. Here’s a look at when the rest of the episodes will be released.
- Dec. 10: Episode 1, “I Play Dodgeball with Cannibals,” and Episode 2, “Demon Pigeons Attack”
- Dec. 17: Episode 3, “We Board the Princess Andromeda”
- Dec. 24: Episode 4, “Clarisse Blows Up Everything”
- Dec. 31: Episode 5, “We Check In to C.C.’s Spa & Resort”
- Jan. 7: Episode 6, “Nobody Gets the Fleece”
- Jan. 14: Episode 7, “I Go Down with the Ship”
- Jan. 21: Episode 8, “The Fleece Works Its Magic Too Well”
New episodes of the show release on Wednesdays at 1 a.m. MST. The show can be watched on both Disney+ and Hulu.
What is ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 2 about?
The plot of the “Sea of Monsters” follows Percy Jackson, a demigod and son of the Greek god Poseidon, as he tries to save his beloved Camp Half-Blood from monsters. To do this, he goes on a journey with his friend Annabeth to find the Golden Fleece, a magical item in Greek mythology, and also attempts to save his satyr friend Grover.
The episode titles come from chapter titles of the book, though the book has 20 total chapters.
