Going into the Season 28 finale of “The Voice,” coaches Michael Bublé and Niall Horan had a slightly greater advantage over the other two coaches, with two of their singers making it into the top six.
Now, one of those singers has claimed the $100,000 prize and a record deal.
Who won ‘The Voice’ 2025?
On Tuesday night, “The Voice” revealed that Aiden Ross received the most votes from viewers, officially making him the Season 28 champion.
“You are one special talent,” Horan said shortly before the reveal. “There’s an absolute future in the music industry for you, I have no doubt about that. ... You’ve been so consistent the whole way through this competition, and you’ve been such a pleasure to work with.”
It was widely predicted that the 20-year-old singer from College Station, Texas, would win the show — his performance of ABBA’s “The Winner Takes It All” during the finale had more than double the views of any other finale performance on YouTube, as the Deseret News reported.
Ross’ victory marks a third win for Horan — who is now three for three in winning his seasons as a coach.
As a three-time winner, Horan has worked with a high level of talent throughout his time on “The Voice.”
But during the Playoff round of this season’s competition, the former One Direction star said his Season 28 team is the best he’s ever had on the show — making his choice to advance Ross to the finale an even bigger statement.
“To think this guy’s 20 years old and has that talent, it’s frightening,” Horan said following Ross’ performance of Damien Rice’s “The Blower’s Daughter” during the Playoffs.
The singer’s time on the show began with a quick four-chair turn as he auditioned with Adele’s “Love in the Dark” — a rendition that got a standing ovation from all four coaches and has more than 1 million views on YouTube.
“What planet are you from?” Horan said after the performance, going on to praise Ross’ ability to take an Adele song and make it his own.
“You have a beautiful voice, and you can tell all four of us were enchanted by it,” Bublé added.
Snoop Dogg’s pitch was straight to the point: “Join my team, we’ll win this thing.”
But Ross ended up going with Horan, who made a similar claim that ended up coming to fruition: “I think you could be in the final of this competition.”
The coaches continually heaped praise upon Ross throughout the season.
The 20-year-old’s performance of Billie Eilish’s “when the party’s over” during the Knockouts led to a bold claim from Snoop Dogg that came true Tuesday night: “You sound like you could actually win ‘The Voice.’”
Who were ‘The Voice’ runner-ups?
Ralph Edwards, a soul singer from Fresno, California, who had previously tried out for “The Voice” a staggering 11 times before making it on this season, came in second as a member of Snoop Dogg’s team.
Edwards performed the Foreigner classic “I Want to Know What Love Is” for his first finale performance Monday night — a rendition that made his coach visibly emotional.
“Thank you,” Snoop Dogg said while choking back tears. “I love the fact that you never gave up and you’re still here.”
DEK of Hearts, a country-pop trio out of Nashville that won the “Mic Drop” and earned a performance spot in the upcoming Rose Parade, placed third in the competition as a member of Horan’s team.
Country singer Aubrey Nicole, who was considered the dark horse of the competition as a one-chair turn, finished in fourth as a member of Reba McEntire’s team.
Bublé’s two singers, teenager Max Chambers and Jazz McKenzie, placed fifth and sixth, respectively.
