“Here we go again,” first lady Melania Trump says to open the new trailer for her upcoming film, “Melania,” set to premiere in theaters worldwide next month.
“History is set in motion during the 20 days of my life prior to the U.S. Presidential Inauguration,” the first lady told Fox News. “For the first time, global audiences are invited into theaters to witness this pivotal chapter unfold — a private, unfiltered look as I navigate family, business and philanthropy on my remarkable journey to becoming First Lady of the United States of America."
The 104-minute film, according to Fox News, will premiere globally on Jan. 30, 2026.
Trump first had the idea for the film in November 2024, following the election of her husband, President Donald Trump. The documentary-style feature follows the 20 days leading up to her return to the White House after President Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20, 2025.
The film’s release follows last year’s debut of her memoir, “Melania,” which has been at the top of the New York Times’ bestsellers list since its publication.
The first lady told Fox News that the story “has never been told, and because the subject matter is historically consequential, it was imperative for me to produce a film of the highest cinematic standard, suitable exclusively in theaters worldwide.”
Trump served as the executive producer on the film, which was directed by Brett Ratner, best known for the “Rush Hour” series. Ratner is also set to direct “Rush Hour 4,” reportedly at the request of President Trump, as previously reported by Deseret News.
Fox News Digital reported that the first lady was heavily involved in production, contributing her “creative vision,” guiding the post-production process and overseeing the film’s marketing execution. She has been described as “‘hands on’ from start to finish.“
The first lady also announced the launch of her new production company, Muse Films, on X Wednesday. The company’s first release will be “Melania,” debuting in theaters on Jan. 30 and later available on Amazon Prime Video.
