Jenkins confirmed the first six episodes of “The Chosen” Season 6 will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in fall 2026, followed by the global theatrical release of the season finale in spring 2027.

“The finale of Season 6 is essentially a super sized episode that is going to be released as the theatrical global event all over the world,” Jenkins said.

For anxious fans, he added, “Season 6 is the biggest season we’ve ever done without a close second, it’s taking the longest to film, by far. The visual effects, the translations, especially, take at least two to three times longer than any season we’ve ever done.”

“The whole season is supersized. And so it just can take time. ... I just ask for your continued grace and patience. It will be worth it.”

Also expected in 2026 is “The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls,” which will likely debut on Prime Video in summer or fall.

No projected release date for “Joseph of Egypt” was shared, but filming is complete and the series is in post production.

“We still have got some to do on it to make it great,” Jenkins said. “But man, it is really coming out beautifully. We’re very, very proud of it.”

“The connection from the Old Testament to the New (Testament), the stories of Joseph and his brothers and Jacob are really an essential part of ‘The Chosen’ universe that we’re building,” he added.

Filming for the seventh and final season of “The Chosen” will begin in less than two months, with the script and other details currently entering their final phases. A projected release date has not yet been announced.

Following the completion of “The Chosen” Season 7, Jenkins and his team will take a brief break before beginning work on other projects in “The Chosen” universe, including “Book of Moses,” which tells the story of Moses, and “The Way of The Chosen,” which explores the Book of Acts.
