Disney’s new CEO Josh D’Amaro announced release dates for Pixar’s “Incredibles 3″ and a sequel to the live-action “Lilo & Stitch” in 2028.

“Incredibles 3″ will be released on June 16, 2028, and “Lilo & Stitch 2″ will hit theaters on May 26, 2028, Memorial Day weekend. At this time, there isn’t any rival studio competition on either dates, Deadline reported.

The live-action “Lilo & Stitch” was released over Memorial Day weekend last year, setting a holiday opening record with $182 million over four days. The film overtook “Top Gun: Maverick,” which had an opening of $169.5 million.

The first two “Incredibles” movies earned a combined $1.87 billion at the global box office. The first movie in the franchise was released in 2004 and the second in 2018, per Deadline. “Incredibles 3″ will be directed by Peter Sohn, who previously worked on Pixar’s “Elemental.” Brad Bird, who led the first two movies, will be writing and producing the third film.

Pixar has not released plot details yet for the threequel, Variety reported. The series is set around Bob and Helen Parr, a superhero couple also known as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, who try to give their kids a normal suburban life after the government bans superpowers. The voice cast of the first two films was led by Holly Hunter, Craig T. Nelson and Samuel L. Jackson.
