Ella Langley is making quite a name for herself.

The country star has topped the charts for weeks with her hit song “Choosin’ Texas.” She also recently won the iHeartRadio Music Award for best new country artist.

She even beat a record last held by Taylor Swift.

Her song “Choosin’ Texas” “claims the most weeks ever spent atop the Hot 100 for a song by a woman that also hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart,” Billboard reported.

The record was previously held by Swift for three weeks with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” in 2012.

At 23 weeks, the song has held strong at the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

“It shows you the power of what a song can do. You think we’re just going in there and just having fun with the people we love making music with, and you don’t realize that that could be the song that changes your life forever,” Langley told Country Now. “And so to me, this song just keeps reinforcing that, that every song matters.”

This week, she released a music video that also features fellow country music star Miranda Lambert and “Yellowstone” star Luke Grimes.

What we know about Ella Langley

So what do we know about the rising singer-songwriter?

Langley is 26 years old and hails from Alabama. She’s been crafting and honing a music career since she was a teen, but her breakout moment came in 2024 with a duet with Riley Gaines, “You Look Like You Love Me,” that exploded on TikTok, Yahoo News reported.

She keeps much of her personal life under wraps and focuses interviews on her professional career.

“Her brand is low-key but also authentic, reflective of what even non-country fans appreciate about the genre. It’s about storytelling and vibes,” Yahoo News writes.

The music artist performed at Utah’s Redwest Fest in October, playing her breakout hit “You Look Like You Love Me,” as well as her popular song “Weren’t for the Wind.”

She has recently become the new face of American Eagle’s denim ads.

“I have these photos growing up wearing American Eagle shorts that my mom bedazzled herself. It was the first pair of denim I loved,” she told People.

“American Eagle has always been about being yourself, and that’s something I really try to get across in my music,” she continued. “My style in day-to-day life is pretty laid-back, a little outdoorsy, and always about comfort, so working with a brand that celebrates that felt right.”

Listening to Ronnie Milsap helped inspire her upcoming album, “Dandelion.”

“I was listening to a lot of 70s, 80s country, even some late 60s. Ronnie Milsap was a big inspiration for this record,” she told American Songwriter. “If you show anyone a Ronnie Milsap song today and you ask them, ‘What genre is this?’, everyone would say, ‘That’s country.’”

“Dandelion” comes out April 10.
