“Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings has high praise for Utah’s biggest indie music festival.

Ken Jennings shouts out Utah’s Kilby Block Party

During a recent “Jeopardy!” taping, a woman in the audience noted that she has seen Jennings at Kilby Block Party a couple of times. She then asked him what indie albums he finds himself returning to the most.

Before answering, Jennings took a moment to praise the music festival in Salt Lake City. He’s such a fan that he flies out from his home in the Seattle area to attend.

“That’s such a well-run festival, like, I don’t even want to give it away to you people. Forget what I’m saying here,” he told the studio audience in a “Jeopardy!” clip that has more than 40,000 likes on TikTok.

The “Jeopardy!” host, who had an unparalleled 74-game winning streak back in 2004, then shared that he’s been listening to a lot of R.E.M. recently, thanks to an all-star tribute band tour that includes actor Michael Shannon, Jon Wurster from Superchunk and Wilco’s John Stirratt.

‘Which is great, because they (R.E.M.) have not toured in 25 years and probably never will," Jennings said.
