The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released a rendering of the Lehi Utah Temple on Monday.

As previously announced, the Lehi Utah Temple will be located northwest of the intersection of 3950 North and Center Street in Lehi. It will be approximately 85,000 square feet and will be accompanied by a new meetinghouse on the 22.48-acre site.

This temple, the first in Lehi, will be be 31st announced, under construction or in operation in the state of Utah. According to a church press release, nearly two thirds of Utah’s population are members of the Church of Jesus Christ.

“If everybody in this area would go to the temple as often as they could, they’d have to build more and more and more,” said Bryan Atwood, president of the Lehi East Stake, after the Lehi temple was announced in April 2024.

To Latter-day Saints, temples are the most sacred places on Earth. In temples, they make promises with God and participate in ordinances that they believe are necessary for salvation. Temples differ from meetinghouses, in which they hold Sunday services and other activities throughout the week.
