The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently released the open house and dedication dates for the Alabang Philippines Temple, one of the last five temples announced by Church President Thomas S. Monson before his passing in January 2018.

According to the Monday release, the Alabang temple will first open to the media on Nov. 17, after which invited guests will tour the building Nov. 18-20.

Then, from Nov. 21 to Dec. 13, the church will host a free public open house that will run everyday, excluding Sundays. Guests of all faiths and ages will be welcome to tour the building during this time.

Following the open house period, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will dedicate the temple on Jan. 18, 2026.

The dedicatory session will be broadcast to all church units in the temple district; and once dedicated, the Alabang temple will become the fourth in operation in the Philippines and the second in the Manila metropolitan area.

The Philippines is home to more than 880,000 Latter-day Saints in more than 1,300 congregations.

“Its church growth rate has been among the fastest in the world,” reads the release.

Thus, accompanying the Alabang temple and the country’s three other operating temples — located in Cebu City, Manila and Urdaneta — another 10 temples for the Philippines are either under construction or in planning stages.

These 10 additional temples are expected to be located in Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Naga, San Jose del Monte, Santiago, Tacloban City and Tuguegarao City, Philippines.
