Photo gallery: Celebrating Palm Sunday as Holy Week begins

Bishop Oscar A. Solis, of the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City, led a traditional celebration for Palm Sunday in front of faithful and other worshippers at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City.

As part of the service, Bishop Solis led a special reading of the Gospel and blessing of palm branches.

Other faiths held similar events throughout Utah, as Palm Sunday begins Holy Week.
