Congratulations, Sen. Romney. In a little over a year as senator from Utah, you’ve managed to become a pariah of the right-wing media and the new John McCain of the Republican Party. Well done. I guess the hazard of coming from the most liberal state in the nation to the most conservative state in the nation is you have little idea what the people of Utah need and want or how to represent them. You do not represent me or my values with your continued “never Trump” attitude toward our president.

As you continue to display your personal animus toward Donald Trump, it’s apparent you are easily blinded by the lies of the Democrats; the same Democrats that torpedoed your own presidential campaign with lies and innuendo. Don’t you remember the things they said about you? Democratic opponents accused you of not paying taxes for 10 years, said you were responsible for the cancer death of a worker, took your ‘‘binders full of women” comment out of context, raked you over the coals for putting a dog on top of your car and more. It’s unimaginable that you can now side with them in asking for additional testimony for this impeachment. They have made their case. It’s not the job for the Senate to make it for them by bringing in additional witnesses and documents that they didn’t bother to bring up in their investigation. The case has been fully refuted by the president’s lawyers as frivolous, partisan and political. This impeachment needs to dismissed as the political theater that it is.

Follow the facts, Mitt, not the hearsay, third- or fourth-party testimony provided by the Democrats. This is a conspiracy that was launched within minutes of Trump being elected. Don’t give it any credibility. Put your personal grudges aside and do the right thing.
