I am tired of hearing of all the panic-buying going on.

We have it good. We have everything we need, but we see, and hear about, people panic-buying everything. It is not necessary. If there are shortages of anything, it is because we have caused it.

During the Great Depression, President Franklin D. Roosevelt said to the people, “The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.” We got through that Depression, and some recessions that came after it, as well as World War II, the Korean War, The Vietnam War and several others. Life can be tough, but we can get through it all.

When we conquer fear and stop pushing the panic button, we will be alright. Under President Barack Obama, the swine flu took over 12,000 lives, and there was much less panic. Today, far fewer people have died in the U.S., so why the panic? Let’s stop the panic and fear and get on with life. Life is too short to do otherwise.
