‘No choice but to change’: Perspectives on the future of K-12, higher education amid COVID-19

Since COVID-19 forced colleges and grade schools to online learning in mid-March, our nation’s education system has been grappling with an uncertain future. Amid an economic crisis and social unrest, schools will be forced to adjust and adapt — not only to make it through the COVID-19 pandemic, but for longterm sustainability and prosperity.

One of America’s most experienced university president recently told the Deseret News that higher ed institutions have “no choice but to change.” As all of Utah’s schools begin that adaptation process, the Deseret News has been active in providing perspectives from our writers and some of our state’s top educational leaders.
