In the wake of National Clean Energy Week, I want to thank Senator John Curtis and Governor Spencer Cox for their commitment to advancing American-made clean energy. Last week underscored the importance of reliable and affordable solutions, from geothermal innovation to advanced battery storage, and highlighted how Utah and the nation can lead the way in building a stronger, more resilient energy future.
Across the country, communities are marking the occasion with important conversations among industry leaders, policymakers and stakeholders. On Capitol Hill, many will gather to pursue smart policy solutions that can fuel progress for decades to come. To meet growing demand, we must cut unnecessary red tape, invest in homegrown technologies and modernize the grid to ensure businesses can thrive.
Yet, despite its benefits, clean energy is too often framed as a partisan issue in the media and in Congress. That is why the leadership of Senator Curtis and Governor Cox matters so greatly. They understand that investing in domestic energy production is essential to making America stronger, more secure and more self-reliant. Working together with the private sector and local elected officials, both Senator Curtis and Governor Cox are showing how collaboration can turn clean energy innovation into real solutions for Utah and the nation. Their leadership on the national stage reflects a shared vision and determination.
By continuing to build on this momentum, our state can help deliver lasting success on American-made clean energy. This is not a partisan debate; it is a national priority.
