SALT LAKE CITY — After a dismal offensive performance on the road in a 95-86 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers last game, the Jazz rebounded with a clutch 96-95 win over Ricky Rubio and the Phoenix Suns on Monday night.
Here are three takeaways from the game:
- Donovan Mitchell came through in clutch time, driving through the Suns team and drawing a foul on Devin Booker and sinking the first free throw to deliver the Jazz a win. He finished with 25 points.
- Bojan Bogdanovic was great for Utah and kept the Jazz in it late. He ended the game 8-for-13 from the field for a team-high 29 points, making four 3-pointers.
- Mike Conley struggled for a third time in four games, going without a field goal (0-7) and finishing with just 1 point. He had five personal fouls. The Jazz shot just 38% from the field and turned the ball over an astonishing 23 times, but made plays when it counted, taking advantage of two Suns turnovers late in the game to get back into the contest.
