The musical talents of former Weber State and current Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard aren’t new to many NBA fans, but on Thursday, that topic was the subject of a deep dive by ESPN’s Marc Spears.
In a lengthy piece, Spears explored how Lillard’s formative years — including his time in Ogden — shaped both his basketball and budding rap career.
“I don’t think I’m loyal to a fault,” Lillard is quoted as saying near the end of the story. “I think I’m loyal to the person that I am. When I’m saying that this is what I want to do, like, I want to make this team win a championship and I want this city to feel what it’s like winning the championship after such a long time.”
