Following their 37-15 loss to the Oregon Ducks in the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday, the Utah Utes plummeted in the final College Football Playoff rankings and the Associated Press and coaches polls released Sunday.
The Utes dropped to No. 11 in the CFP rankings, No. 12 in the AP poll and No. 10 in the coaches poll.
The Ducks finished No. 6 in the CFP rankings and will play the eighth-ranked Wisconsin Badgers in the Rose Bowl. The USC Trojans are the only other Pac-12 team to finish in the CFP rankings.
The top four of the polls is the same as the top four of the College Football Playoff rankings which were revealed on Sunday morning. No. 1 LSU will face No. 4 Oklahoma in the Peach Bowl and No. 2 Ohio State will play No. 3 Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl, with the winners earning spots in the national championship game.
Utah’s bowl destination will be announced sometime Sunday afternoon.
