Editor’s note: This story will be updated as news happens through Aug. 31, this year’s deadline for final cuts. The days listed are when the transaction appears on the NFL’s daily transaction log.

Number of Utah ties currently on NFL rosters: 81 (74 on active rosters, five on injured reserve, one on active-physically unable to perform list and one on reserve-non football injury list). Scroll to the bottom of the story for a full list of every local on an NFL team.

Between now and the start of the 2019 NFL regular season, each team’s roster will undergo plenty of overhaul, as players are signed or waived for a variety of reasons.

In order, here’s a look at every transaction involving a Utah tie since the start of training camp in late July.

Aug. 28

Philadelphia signs Jason Thompson: The former Utah safety joined the Eagles three and a half weeks after being waived by Atlanta early in training camp. He’s also spent time with Green Bay, New England, Chicago, Seattle and Dallas in his three pro seasons, while still searching for his first action in a regular-season game.

Buffalo waives De’Ondre Wesley with an injury settlement: The former BYU offensive lineman’s time with the Bills came to an end as a knee injury has prevented him from practicing recently. The fifth-year pro was in his second stint with Buffalo and has also been with the Baltimore and Indianapolis organizations, with all his regular-season action occurring as a rookie in 2015.

Pittsburgh places Brian Allen on injured reserve: The former Utah cornerback reverted to the Steelers’ IR after clearing waivers. The third-year pro and former fifth-round draft pick has played in 16 regular-season games for Pittsburgh during his pro career, with three total tackles.

Aug. 27

Baltimore signs Fish Smithson: The former Highland High cornerback joined his second team in a month, after most recently being with the Jaguars nine days earlier in training camp. Smithson, who played in two regular-season games for Washington in 2017, has also spent time with Arizona and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Pittsburgh waives Brian Allen with an injury designation: Allen was waived by the Steelers after suffering an ankle injury last week, according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette’s Ray Fittipaldo. He had one tackle in preseason prior to the injury.

Aug. 20

Kansas City places Marcus Kemp on injured reserve: The former Layton High wide receiver landed on IR with a torn ACL and MCL he suffered in the team’s second preseason game, according to The Kansas City Star. It ended a promising training camp for Kemp in his third season as a pro, all with the Chiefs.

Jacksonville waives Jordan Agasiva: The former Utah offensive guard was released by the Jaguars nearly three months after the team signed him. The rookie undrafted free agent joined Jacksonville after a successful rookie minicamp tryout in May.

Aug. 10

Seattle waives Marwin Evans: The former Utah State safety was released by the Seahawks after the team's first preseason game, when Evans had two special teams tackles in a win over Denver. He spent two full seasons with Green Bay before signing with Seattle in January.

Aug. 8

Kansas City signs Hunter Dimick: The former Utah and Syracuse High defensive end joined his third NFL team. He signed with Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and was most recently with Tampa Bay this offseason and is still looking to make his first regular-season roster.

New Orleans signs Kerwynn Williams: The former Utah State running back is back on an NFL roster for the first time since May. Since last playing in an NFL regular-season game with Arizona in 2017, he's bounced around from Kansas City to Detroit to Tampa Bay. "It's a blessing," Williams told NOLA.com this week. "To have the opportunity to play in this league is always huge."
