Nike has dropped New England Patriots receiver Antonio Brown.

The Boston Globe reported the sponsorship’s demise.

“Antonio Brown is not a Nike athlete,” a Nike spokesman told USA Today.

The company offered no further details.

Brown was accused of sexual assault by his former trainer in a civil suit last week after he signed with the Patriots. The NFL plans to investigate the matter, according to the Associated Press.

Brown remains eligible to compete. He played against the Miami Dolphins last weekend.

Brown previously talked about his Nike deal in a YouTube video for Complex.

“I am getting a huge Nike deal, which is opening up leverage for a lot of other guys and a lot of up-and-coming players to get in the marketing world and making money off the field,” he said.

Brown had a shoe with Nike called the Nike Tech Trainer Antonio Brown. A pair cost $100, but the product is no longer available.

Nike previously stood against athletes who have caused controversy, according to CNN. Nike took NBA star Kobe Bryant off of their ads in 2005 after he was accused of rape. Michael Vick lost his Nike contract when he was convicted of dog fighting.

However, Nike remained loyal to Tiger Woods, who was involved in a sex scandal and DUI arrest.
