SALT LAKE CITY — Basketball shoes themed around a kids movie franchise might seem like a very niche combination, but youngsters looking for such a combo now have friends in Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell and Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, formerly of Weber State.

The two All-Stars both have shoe deals with Adidas, and Thursday the company officially made for sale special “Toy Story”-themed kicks in each player’s line.

Mitchell’s shoe is part of the D.O.N. Issue #2 line and is centered around the character Woody, with a denim upper, Woody graphics on the tongue and a “snake in my boot” print on the collar.

Lillard’s shoe is part of the Dame 7 line and is centered around both Buzz Lightyear and Andy.

Both shoes are only available in kids sizes. Mitchell’s shoe costs between $75 and $90, while Lillard’s is between $80 and $100.

In addition to the signature shoes of the two players, Adidas has a full line of “Toy Story” apparel, including other shoes, a jersey, a sweatshirt and a number of shirts.
