Here’s a complete roundup of Friday’s Week 8 high school football action from around the state.
REGION 1
After trailing at the end of the first quarter, Roy outscored Clearfield 41-7 the rest of the way to pick up a convincing win. Royals quarterback Parker Kingston threw three touchdown passes, one to Cade Harris, another to Ethan Ecker and the last to Mason Thueson, and also ran for a pair of touchdowns.
After going scoreless in the first half, Syracuse scored a touchdown in both the third and fourth quarters, scores that proved just enough to eke out the win over Northridge. Daxton Faddis and Chandler Christensen each rushed for a touchdown for the Titans.

Weber and Davis battled back and forth until the Warriors converted the go-ahead and game-wining touchdown with just over two minutes remaining. Weber quarterback Jake Lindsay rushed for the game-winning score, capping off a night in which he threw for three touchdowns. REGION 2
West Jordan outscored Cyprus by 14 in the second half to pick up the win.
Nathan Suaste caught four touchdown passes, while teammate Lorenzo Tua’one rushed for two more as Hunter showed no mercy in its big victory over Taylorsville.
REGION 3
Riverton went on the road and took down the Miners for the first time since 2003. The swing point of the game was Colby Barton’s 29-yard touchdown pass to Jaxon Bennett in the third quarter, which came on the first play of a drive after a Bingham fumble. Bingham dominated the game on the ground but had trouble holding the ball, as it turned it over six times, including on its final two possessions in Silverwolf territory.
Powered by a strong first half, East toppled Herriman. The Leopards scored a pair of first half touchdowns and held the Mustangs to only a field goal. Anitelu Kaufusi, Iuliano Sula and Amini Amone each rushed for touchdowns in the win.

REGION 4
American Fork 41, Pleasant Grove 20
The Cavemen picked up a road win, mostly thanks to a dominant third quarter in which they scored three touchdowns.

Jaxson Dart threw for seven touchdowns — finding Noah Kjar three times and Talmage Handley twice — as the Chargers cruised to the victory over Westlake.

Thanks in good part to a 21-point fourth quarter, Lone Peak took down Skyridge. The Knights trailed early but overtook the Falcons in the first quarter and led the rest of the way. Jaxon Willits rushed for a pair of touchdowns to lead the way, while kicker Benjamin Miller drilled three field goals and finished with 13 points scored. | Full story

REGION 5
Kord Shaw rushed for two touchdowns and caught another from Kamen Best as the Lakers edged out Farmington in region play.

Box Elder’s Parker Buchanan threw for two touchdowns, one each to River Olsen and Caron Arnold, as the Bees picked up the victory in a back-and-forth battle against Woods Cross.

REGION 6
The Titans exploded for 38 points in the second quarter to take a commanding lead and cruised to the victory over Hillcrest. Seven different players scored, including Nick Ballard and Dominic Neugent, who who back-to-back interception returns.
REGION 7
Lehi won a tight game against the Hawks. The Pioneers jumped out to a 10-0 lead, but after allowing a touchdown right before half as well as coming out of the half, they found themselves behind. However, Creyton Cooper found the end zone in the fourth quarter, giving his team the hard-earned win.

REGION 8
Springville 49, Spanish Fork 14
Seth Rigtrup rushed for 116 yards on 18 carries and scored five touchdowns to lead the Red Devils in the Region 8 victory over Spanish Fork.

Quarterback Jarret Elmer rushed for a touchdown and passed for three more to help lead Salem Hills to the victory over Provo.
REGION 9
Cedar City 17, Desert Hills 14
After trailing early, Cedar City rallied and then held on for the victory. Seth Brinkerhoff and Bryan White each rushed for a Reds touchdown, and Edgar Hernandez-Hinojosa’s field goal proved to be the difference in the game.

A touchdown run by Conner Nielson with 28 seconds left was the difference as the Tigers beat Canyon View. It was his second rushing touchdown in the game. Luke Wright also rushed for two scores for the Tigers.

Dixie scored once in each quarter to power its way to the region victory over Crimson Cliffs. Avery Anderson and Shea Anderson each rushed for a touchdown in the win, while Mamao Matalolo recorded an interception return.
After a 28-28 first half in which neither team trailed by more than seven points, things slowed down in the second. Jake Hill’s second touchdown reception gave Snow Canyon a lead in the third quarter, but Enoch Takau answered back, scoring what proved to be the game-winner from five yards out on the first play of the fourth quarter. A defensive battle the rest of the way ended with the Warriors missing a field goal attempt as time expired.

REGION 10
Park City picked up a dominant win over Ben Lomond.
Cedar Valley and Ogden battled back and forth all night long, but a 24-point second half proved enough for the Aviators to come away with the win. Cedar Valley quarterback Payton Weber threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another to lead the way, while Vili Mausia also rushed for a score.

Tooele led from start to finish to take down Uintah for the region victory. The Buffaloes outscored the Utes 21-0 in the first half. Quarterback Justic Tadifa threw three touchdown passes, while Dylan Makoni and Mateaki Helu each rushed for a touchdown. Helu also had a touchdown reception.
REGION 11
Sky View started slow against Logan before pulling away in the third quarter to pick up another region victory. The Bobcats outscored the Grizzlies 28-0 in the third to break the game open. Sky View was led by quarterback Kasen Carlsen, who threw two touchdown passes and rushed for two additional scores. Titan Sexton hauled in both touchdown passes, while Isaac Larsen and Walter Collins each rushed for a touchdown.
Kaden Cox led the Riverhawks with four passing touchdowns — three of which went to Evan Webb — in the Region 11 victory over Green Canyon.
Bear River 21, Mountain Crest 0
Kace Jones rushed for two touchdowns and Gabe Dwaileebe had another as the Bears picked up the shutout victory over Mountain Crest.

REGION 12
The Spartan defense allowed just one scoring play from the Rams and cruised to the comfortable win at home. Ryker Jensen led the offense with one rushing and two passing touchdowns in the victory.

Rylan Jones passed for three touchdowns and rushed for two more to lead the Red Devils in the Region 12 victory over Carbon.

Kasey Giddings caught a touchdown reception and rushed for three more scores, including a 45-yard interception return, to lead Richfield in the Region 12 victory over San Juan.

Grantsville 45, Summit Academy 27
The Cowboys outscored Summit Academy 31-7 in the second half to take the lead and secure the win at home. Caleb Sullivan had two touchdowns for Grantsville in the win, while Joe Garlick passed for three touchdowns for the Bears in the loss.

REGION 14
North Sanpete 42, American Leadership 14
North Sanpete jumped out to a 28-0 lead early and never looked back. Landon Bowles threw the first touchdown of the game to Braxton Taylor and later added two more scores on the ground and another one through the air. American Leadership found the end zone twice on Duncan Henstra receptions.
Austin Topham had two touchdowns and Will Finlinson rushed for two more to lead Delta in the Region 14 victory over Union.

Trey Lund and Jokob Bailey rushed for touchdowns and Alex Jackson connected with Dawson Olsen for another in Juab’s win.

2A NORTH
Duchesne 41, Layton Christian 8
Duchesne blew out Layton Christian to continue its undefeated season.
North Summit jumped out to a 42-0 lead at the half and never looked back as it cruised to the comfortable region win over Monticello. Walker Woolstenhulme threw for two touchdowns, one each to Quinton Jones and Kale Hobson.
2A SOUTH
Bret Beebe had three touchdowns, including an 83-yard fumble recovery, to help lead Milford in the region victory over Millard. It is the first three-game winning streak over Millard in school history.

Powered by the arm and legs of quarterback Hutch Miller, Parowan defeated North Sevier in a barn burner. Miller accounted for six touchdowns — four through the air, the other two on the ground. His final score, a 5-yard run with just over seven minutes remaining, proved to be the game-winner.
The Beavers took care of business in a showdown between unbeatens. They never trailed and outscored Kanab 35-0 in the first half and 49-0 through three quarters. Crayton Hollingshead led the way with three rushing touchdowns, while Hunter Carter, Jayton Jessup, Taevin Hunter and Treyson Hunter each added a score of their own.

NONREGION
Payson cruised to the victory over Cottonwood.
Brighton put up 34 points in the first quarter en route to the blowout win.
Bountiful quarterback Boston Malmrose threw four touchdown passes, two to Brooks Fornelius, and Mitch Moldre rushed for a pair of scores as the Braves took down Fremont. Bountiful scored the first 27 points of the game and never trailed.
