Timpview defensive end Logan Fano has long been one of the top college prospects in Utah, and he has come a little closer to deciding which school he’ll attend as part of the Class of 2021.
Fano, who was once committed to BYU but now has scholarship offers from schools around the country, announced Wednesday via Twitter that he has whittled his decision down to four schools. BYU is still in the mix, as are Utah, Washington and Oklahoma.
“I want to thank all the schools who have recruited me and given me a chance to live out my childhood dream,” Fano wrote. “I will be focusing on these 4 schools moving forward and committing after my senior season!”

Numerous analysts at 247 Sports are predicting with their “Crystal Ball” system that the 6-foot-4, 230-pound Fano will ultimately pick Utah.
According to Deseret News statistics, Fano has tallied 31 tackles, a sack and an interception for Timpview this season. After playing a challenging nonregion schedule, the Thunderbirds will be the No. 9 seed in the 5A Utah high school football playoffs, which just barely qualified them for a bye in this week’s first round.
