A sector of sports fans loves to create jersey concepts, and after it was announced Wednesday that BYU grad Ryan Smith will become the majority owner of the Utah Jazz, a Twitter user created a concept combining the Cougars and the Jazz.

@volcoug, a Tennessee Volunteers fan who became a BYU fan last year after the Cougars’ win on the football field and creates jersey concepts, made a design modeled after the Jazz’s purple mountain jerseys.

This one, though, is blue and has BYU lettering where “Jazz” usually appears. The jersey numbers are in the style of the Jazz’s purple mountain jerseys (the design was Photoshopped onto Donovan Mitchell, so it’s No. 45 in the design @volcoug released on Twitter).

The “5 For the Fight” patch, which Smith’s company Qualtrics has sponsored on the Jazz’s jerseys, is also present. @volcoug credited another Twitter user, @sportymcsports, for the concept idea.
