Utah football’s game against Colorado this week is moving from Friday to Saturday, the Pac-12 confirmed Wednesday hours after The Mercury News’ Jon Wilner first reported about the possibility.

The Utes and Buffaloes will now face off Saturday at 10 a.m. MST at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado, with the game being televised on Fox. The contest was originally set for Friday at 7:30 p.m., but now slides back a day and to a more favorable TV position — it was originally scheduled to broadcast on FS1.

The noon EST TV slot on Fox was originally scheduled for the annual Ohio State-Michigan game. That contest was canceled Tuesday, though, due to COVID-19 cases within the Michigan program. That left a favorable early TV slot for another college game to fill.

The Utes are 1-2 after beating Oregon State last week, while the Buffaloes are 4-0, including a 3-0 Pac-12 record, following their win over Arizona.
