Here are three takeaways from the game.
- As has happened often this season, the Utes were once again bad offensively. They went just 8 of 27 from the field in the first half and finished 19 of 51 (37 percent). Additionally, Utah went just 1 of 6 from the free throw line in the first half and finished 8-of-16. The Utes also made just five of their 19 3-point attempts on the night.
- Adding to the shooting woes, Utah committed nine turnovers in the first half and finished with 14, while the Beavers committed 10 on the night.
- Branden Carlson was the only Utah player to finish in double-figures, as he scored 13 points. Both Gach was next with eight. Oregon State, on the other hand, had four players score at least 10 points, led by Kylor Kelley’s 16.
